I will help you in your desire to close the gap between where you are right now and where you want to be in the future, with the support of individualized therapy sessions. Let's find a solution together! My name is Ms. Eaves. I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a board-certified counselor. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology with a specialization in addictions. I began my Counseling career 2014. Although cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is the primary modality that I focus on, I use an eclectic psychotherapy approach to meet the client-specific need. To illustrate, I provide clients with CBT tools to deal with events of everyday living and explore critical issues using an approach that is appropriate to meet the client-specific problems. The CBT approach has many advantages in multicultural counseling situations. Thus, if therapists understand the core value of their culturally diverse clients, they can help clients explore these values and gain a full awareness of their conflicting feelings. As a therapist with a cognitive behavioral orientation, I will educate you to focus on learning skills to deal with your problems of living. Then you and I will work together to develop a detailed case conceptualization to understand how you views their world. While being sensitive to each client's struggle, I explore values and core beliefs in a nonjudgmental environment with empathy to help clients to learn how to empower themselves by relying on their inner strength. These experiences have given me a prodigious foundation to build to the knowledge gained during the graduate program and fieldwork through direct counseling experience with individuals. *Currently video sessions are not offered unless discussed with me in advance.

Hello! You can call me Cai. I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, certified personal trainer, AMGA Climbing Wall Instructor, and somatic coach. I love dogs, I'm a world traveler, rock climber, somatic abolitionist, BIPoC, queer, and neuro-divergent, therapist. If after 4-sessions your goals, our schedules, and fit align, I am happy to discuss ongoing sessions. In my experience, 4-sessions with me works best if you are seeking to dive into experiential and somatic work, are seeking more support while working through a specific situation or recent life change, or have a specific, personal-growth goal. I tend to work from a somatic lens, will teach coping skills when asked or it is appropriate to offer, cuss sometimes, throw in some humor, work intuitively, and through experiential process. Use of diagnosis: Some health insurance companies will reimburse clients for counseling services and some will not. Most will require a diagnosis of a mental-health condition and indicate that you must have an “illness” before they will agree to reimburse you. Some conditions for which people seek counseling do not qualify for reimbursement. We will discuss the use of diagnosis and if/when submitted to your insurance company it will become a part of your permanent insurance records. I began working with BetterHelp as an online therapist in October 2021. All billing and scheduling is handled through the BetterHelp platform. Diagnosis is not used as a tool in this format and clients must agree to use 911 for emergencies as this is not a platform to be used for crisis intervention. All billing is handled through their organization. Some other telehealth organizations will require a diagnosis and will bill insurance. Private practice sessions are usually 50-60 minutes. Cost varies between individual and family conjoint sessions. I provide phone sessions for clients who live out of the area. These sessions are generally 30-45 minutes in length. Use of a diagnosis will be discussed and can be used as a road map for treatment in my private practice if on a self – pay basis. I will keep confidential anything you say as part of our counseling relationship with the following exceptions: You direct me in writing to disclose information to someone else, it is determined you are a danger to yourself or others, or I am ordered by a court to disclose information. Although clients are encouraged to discuss any concerns with me first, you may file a complaint against me with the organization below should you feel I am in violation of any of these codes of ethics.
