About me

Your story honors me
As you have a path that is unique to you.
I offer to walk with you …
To provide support over rough ground,
To offer tools for repair or new directions
Or just a chance to tell your story.

I bring 40 years of sobriety, 39 years of parenting; 28 years of working with children, adolescent, adults and families in the areas of mental health, substance use disorders and crisis stabilization in settings including outpatient, residential and inpatient. Personally, I also benefitted greatly from six years of therapy as I believe a good therapist has a therapist. Thus, my style has become intuitive over time instead of using just one type of therapy. My virtual toolbox includes genograms, recovery based therapy, motivational interviewing, empathetic listening, gestalt therapy, cognitive-behaviorlal theory, narrative therapy, mindfulness and tai chi.

Areas of speciality include PTSD/Moral Injury/Compassion Fatigue; Substance Use/Abuse/Dependency; ADHD; LGBTQ+; Depression; Anxiety, Childhood Trauma and Family Systems. I especially welcome people who may feel marginalized or isolated in this time of heightened stress as we are coping with a pandemic.

I offer to walk with you to provide support over rough ground, to offer tools to ease your path forward or just a chance to rest and share your story in safety.

The best therapist I’ve had

Written on Jun 20, 2026 after therapy with Sus for 3 weeks on issues concerning depression, relationship issues, parenting issues, and self esteem

I truly appreciate the time I spend talking with Sus. She listens attentively, understands where I’m coming from, and often provides helpful examples that make me feel heard and understood.

What I value most is that our sessions feel like genuine conversations rather than me simply talking at her or unloading my experiences. Her approach is warm, engaging, and collaborative, which makes therapy feel much more personal and meaningful.

One of the reasons I chose Sus as my therapist was learning that she has been in therapy herself. I believe that a good therapist has a therapist. It demonstrates a commitment to self-awareness, personal growth, and a deeper understanding of the therapeutic process from both the client’s and therapist’s perspective. That is something I greatly respect and appreciate about her.

Instant connection with Sus and she is a great listener, with great stories! Really easy talking to them

Sus has been a perfect match for me from Day 1! I love that the app’s intuitive algorithm’got it right’ based on all the intake questions, and matched us right away. She’s so caring, responsive, and kind, it feels lovely me talking with a skilled friend rather than therapy.

Sus is very easy to connect with. She's very attentive, and provides a relaxed, conversational experience. She shares anecdotes from her own life, and it's very easy to feel like you're spending time with a friend. Her wide range of life experiences gives her an informed perspective on almost any topic.
