I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, compulsive eating disorders, and career challenges, I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. As an RN and an LPC, I have helped many people with cancer and other life-challenging conditions and their families cope with their illnesses. I recently wrote a chapter in Dr. Siegel's new book, 'Love, Animals, and Miracles." My therapeutic style can be described as warm and integrative, assessing the needs and style that will best serve the person. I use a mix between Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy and various holistic approaches, including positive psychology. I truly appreciate having Ruth as my therapist especially during this time of anticipatory grief as I am caregiving for my terminally ill mother, who is likely in her last 6 months of life. Ruth’s extensive knowledge of her medical background helps validate my experience and what the end of life looks like. She helps give me tips on how to care for my mother and helps to give me an outlet to express my concerns, fears and grief in the most non-judgemental way possible. I am very thankful to have Ruth as one of my main supports as I go through the hardest journey of my life. Thank you Ruth!!

Ruth makes me feel heard and she comforts me when I am most anxious. I have never had therapy before and I was nervous to start but she has given me a positive experience.

I am just starting on my journey with Ruth and already excited about the progress she is helping me make. If you are on the fence about therapy or Ruth as your therapist, make the decision!! It is absolutely worth it.

Ruth is a wonderful counselor. She listens to my concerns and helped me find better ways to communicate with others, especially my " oh so wonderful husband". She made me feel that I am worthy and deserve to be happy without guilt. I would definitely recommend her in a second. She's very easy to talk to and hold no judgment at all, making me feel very comfortable sharing very private issues with her. I would definitely give her a try if I was you.
Thanks Ruth! Warm regards Wendy P.
